2001 – SWG group conference in Krakow (Jagiellonian University), under the leadership of Irene Eynat-Confino

2002 – FIRT congress in Amsterdam (University of Amsterdam), topic: Theatre and Cultural Memory

2003 – SWG conference on the premises of the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague (prepared by the FIRT Czech Centre under the leadership of Eva Šormová and Mirka Potůčková

2004 – FIRT congress in Saint Peterburg, topic: The Director in the Theatre World

2006 – FIRT congress in Helsinky, topic: Global vs. Local

2007 –  SWG conference on the premises of the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague (prepared by the FIRT Czech Centre under the leadership of Eva Šormová and Mirka Potůčková)

2011 – SWG conference on the premises of the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague (prepared by the FIRT Czech Centre under the leadership of Eva Šormová and Mirka Potůčková

2013 – FIRT congress in Barcelona (Institut del teatre), topic: Re-Routing Performance

2014 – FIRT congress at the British University of Warwick (topic: Theatre and Stratification) where David Vivian, a long-standing member of the committee, resigned and Nick Hunt was elected.  The conference also brought an agreement of the SWG members to co-ordinate its 2015 conference with the PQ leadership and become a part of the conference platform at PQ.

2015 – SWG conference in Prague, held within PQ and led by Scott Palmer plus Nick Hunt on the premises of Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace.  The Czech Centre became involved in the conference just through Věra Velemanová´s paper on Luboš Hrůza.

 2016 – FIRT congress in Stockholm at the local university (topic – Presenting the Theatrical Past), Sofia Pantouvaki replaced Scott Palmer in the leadership of SWG

2017 – FIRT congress at the local university in Brazilian São Paolo, topic: Unstable Geographies: Multiple Theatricalities

2018 – FIRT congress at the local university in Serbian Belgrade, topic – Theatre and Migration: Theatre, Nation and Identity: Between Migration and Stasis

2019 – SWG symposium on the premises of the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague (prepared by the FIRT Czech Centre – Mirka Potůčková and Věra Velemanová in cooperation with the Department of the Theatre Studies of Faculty of Arts at the Charles University). Topic: Imagination, Transformation, Memory. It was dedicated to Eva Šormová (†10. 12. 2017), a former representative of the FIRT Czech Centre, and to Erik Alexander († 2. 11. 2018), a distinguished theatrologist, a founding member of FIRT and SWG, a leading personality of this organization and a friend of the Czech culture.
